Senior Data Scientist / Data Lead

We’re growing fast. World of WOW is the platform that connects fans, creators, and brands.

Join the movement: building Europe’s #1 creator-first platform

At World of WOW, we’re creating a world where creators have full control over their content, community, and monetization. No dependence on algorithms or fragmented platforms – but one central hub where creators build their brand, fans experience real interaction, and brands connect authentically.

We’re already working with leading names such as Rico Verhoeven, Nienke Plas, Timor Steffens, Simon Keizer, Giel de Winter (StukTV), Robbie van de Graaf (Bankzitters), and Frank Lammers. From our base at Strijp-S in Eindhoven, our young and ambitious team is shaping the future of digital communities.

World of WOW is not just another social app. It’s a movement. And we’re growing fast.

Your Role: Data Lead

Data is our biggest differentiator. We’re building a unique proposition that not only powers smart matching between fans, creators, and brands, but can also evolve into a standalone data product (API services).

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Data Lead to help model, build, and evolve this social landscape. You’re hands-on enough to prototype and run experiments yourself, while also capable of setting the long-term data strategy that will fuel WOW’s growth.

You’ll work closely with our Software Engineers, Product Owner and the rest of the team to turn insights directly into business value and product development.

What you’ll do
  • Design and implement the data strategy for our fans–creators–brands graph.
  • Build early matching and recommendation engines to connect creators, fans, and brands.
  • Develop audience segmentation and campaign ROI methodologies.
  • Evaluate and implement the right datastores (Postgres, vector or graph databases).
  • Set up BI dashboards and KPI frameworks for teams and the board.
  • Translate insights into product and business impact in close collaboration with the Product Owner.
  • Lay the groundwork for an Insights-as-a-Service product (API-first).
What you bring
  • 5+ years in applied data science, recommender systems, AI, or advanced analytics.
  • Experience with modern data engineering (pipelines, orchestration, ETL/ELT) and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Databricks (bonus: Azure).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and recommender system methodologies.
  • Knowledge of BI, KPI structures, and data monetization strategies.
  • Affinity with social platforms, marketing, or influencer/e-commerce analytics.
  • Experience with MLOps practices (model deployment, monitoring, versioning).
  • Startup-ready: independent, pragmatic, energetic, hands-on.
What we offer
  • An inspiring workspace at Strijp-S, Eindhoven; the creative heart of innovation.
  • A competitive salary based on experience.
  • Real impact: your choices define our data strategy and the future of our platform.
  • Close collaboration with an experienced software architect, engineers and rest of the team.
  • A driven, close-knit team with big ambitions and short lines.
  • Plenty of room for personal growth and entrepreneurship.
  • And yes: after-work drinks, music, Friday socials, and Brabantse gezelligheid.
